Ca’ de Bondanza is a wonderful south facing, stone property with a guest annexe and a self contained two bedroomed guest house. The property has been lovingly restored and the fully fenced grounds are a gardener’s paradise. Landscaped and well stocked with fruit trees, olives and coloured plants for every season. It really is superb. The heated swimming pool completes the picture.
Built in the traditional style, the main house is constructed on 2 floors. On the ground floor that previously housed storerooms and wine cellars, is a spacious one-bedroom apartment used by the present owners as accommodation for their guests. The living area opens on to an attractive terrace and there is a wonderfully light warm garden room that doubles as a spacious dining room. Also on the ground floor there is a large laundry/ utility room and an original bread oven.
At first floor level which is accessed by the original stone staircase, there is a large sitting room with open fire, a spacious bedroom and bathroom en suite and a kitchen/dining area that opens onto a lovely open terrace and a further generous sized bedroom and separate bathroom.
The property has been restored simply and the room sizes have not been compromised with dividing walls, the floors are all either terracotta tiled or have a warm wooden finish; the ceilings all have oak or chestnut beams.
The barn has been converted to provide charming accommodation, 2 double bedrooms, bathroom and sitting room kitchen and attractive pergola for dining al fresco. There is also a useful storage/workroom with external access on the ground floor. The original bread oven also stands apart from the building.
The house has gas fired central heating throughout. There are solar panels that assist heating water for the house. The main water supply is derived from a deep well, although there is also spring water used in the garden and the run off rain water is stored in tanks. There are 6Kw of mains electricity and a telephone connection. Broadband internet is microwaved to the house.
The present owners have created a fabulous garden area on the property. The grounds extend to approximately 1.5 hectares, much of which is fenced. The pool has a wonderful vantage point but is completely private; there is a Jacuzzi area and it is heated by hidden solar panels.
